The former couple were drawn back together for a passionate embrace in Thursday's first-look episode (February 13), after they'd seen their baby for the first time during Liberty's 12-week scan.
In a first-look clip from next week's Hollyoaks episodes, Brody (Adam Woodward) and Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart) struggle over how they can move forward from their very awkward moment.
"My head's been a mess with everything that's happened with Sienna over the last few days," Brody admits to her. "This is weird and complicated for both of us, even without living together, always in each other's space."
Liberty wants to put the kiss firmly in the past, insisting: "It was a mistake. Let's just forget it ever happened."
The likelihood of Brody and Liberty being able to "forget it ever happened" is slim to none, especially with Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) still furious over Brody ruining her plot to send her own ex Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) to jail.
Brody actor Adam Woodward first hinted at the possibility of Brody and Liberty getting back together recently, when he pointed out that Brody has a huge hole in his life now that Sienna has left him.
"You see, this is the baby he's meant to be having with Sienna, and now she's not here. But even with Sienna out of the picture, Brody has this baby on the way," he explained.
"He wants to be a dad more than anything, and he's determined to be there for his child... Brody's left with a tough choice.
"He either decides to keep searching for Sienna, or come to terms with the fact that she's not coming back and move on with his life."
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
