Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Sid Sumner will face an impossible dilemma in Victor's return story in Hollyoaks.
Sid helped put the County Lines drug boss behind bars last year, but not without great personal tragedy and cost to the community as Victor's drugs ruined lives.
Soap bosses have confirmed that Victor will be back on screen for the first time in nearly 18 months, with Benjamin O'Mahony set to reprise his role as the villain.
Upcoming scenes will have Lizzie discovering the worrying news that Sid has been in contact with Victor behind bars. Before Lizzie can even try to talk sense to Sid, he sets off to visit the kingpin in prison.
Victor uses the meeting to try to convince Sid he's changed his life since his mother died, and asks Sid to accompany him to his mum's funeral to prove he's a changed man.
Juliet also tries to convince Sid not to fall for Victor's act, yet he agrees to go along to the funeral since he can empathise with losing a parent.
The truth is revealed to viewers as Victor is shown making a sinister phone call from prison. The following day, Sid tries to assure his loved ones he'll be fine because armed guards will be present at the funeral.
Juliet is still convinced Victor is up to no good, so she turns to Ste Hay for help protecting Sid. The funeral turns into a hostage situation when Victor takes Sid captive for his ultimate revenge.
Juliet turns up at the exact wrong time as she is also drawn into the line fire from the drug boss she'd betrayed. Victor demands Sid sell drugs for him once again, or he'll finish Juliet for good.
What will Sid do?
