Hollyoaks star Andrea Ali has opened up about the imminent arrival of her character Celeste's half-brother, DeMarcus.
Felix Westwood's estranged son DeMarcus (Tomi Ade) is set to arrive in the village next week, determined to reconnect with his dad, but also getting to know his half-siblings Toby (Bobby Gordon) and Celeste Faroe (Ali).
The soap has previously explored Felix's (Richard Blackwood) strained relationship with Toby and Celeste after abandoning them as children, as well as him reconnecting with son Mitchell Deveraux before actor Imran Adams left the soap.
The actress told Inside Soap: "Instinctively there is a sense of Celeste being protective over the family she's worked so hard to get – she doesn't want anyone to come in and destroy that, even if DeMarcus is Felix's son.
"But she's also secretly protective of DeMarcus because she knows how Toby can be.
"Celeste has witnessed his rage first hand so she's very apprehensive about another golden boy coming into the family and being received with open arms. She doesn't know if Toby's going to be able to control his jealousy."
He is set to arrive on Thursday, September 9, which is part of Hollyoaks' hour-long special for Black to Front Project, featuring an all-Black cast.
Felix arrives back in the village as well that day to try and win back Martine, but the surprise appearance of DeMarcus leads to a sailing accident that could have deadly consequences for Felix.
What a dramatic entrance, eh?
