Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Anna Passey has spoken to Digital Spy about this week's shock shooting storyline, revealing that her character Sienna Blake has no idea of how much danger she's in.

The Channel 4 soap has announced that Sienna will be shot by her love rival Summer Ranger (Rhiannon Clements) in dramatic scenes this week.

Summer goes out for revenge after a turbulent week involving her father Cormac, who was attacked by Warren Fox last year. Brody Hudson and Felix Westwood witnessed the incident and have helped to cover up the truth.

Teasing the huge scenes to come, Anna told Digital Spy: "Sienna is very consumed with trying to get Brody back and her dislike of Summer. She has become obsessed again with the idea of what she can do to get Brody back.

"She has no idea that she's in any trouble. She sees Brody and they've just had a big fight. He smiles to her and it's a little peace offering.

"In that moment she's full of relief that maybe they can start talking again, but unbeknown to her, Summer is lurking in the shadows. Although she hates Summer, she doesn't think she's a danger."

Asked about Sienna having such a formidable new enemy, Anna continued: "I love it – it's my favourite type of story. I think it's great because whenever it's Sienna versus someone, we know it's going to be a good time and we'll enjoy watching that.

"What's super about Summer is how similar to Sienna she is. As soon as I started to see a few scenes in the script, I thought: 'That is a character that is very familiar to me!'

"What's going to be so interesting about this story is that we really see Sienna with a match. That's going to be different to some of the relationships we've seen before.

"Normally we think 'that person's in trouble' when someone goes up against Sienna. This time we initially think that, but we start to realise maybe Sienna's in a bit of trouble too and that's really exciting."
