Hollyoaks star Connor Calland says Jordan Price could be the New Year victim

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks star Connor Calland has revealed that his character Jordan Price could be the victim glimpsed in the New Year flash forward.

Back in December 2019, an episode switched back and forth between several characters ringing in 2020 and the events that happen 12 months on next New Year's Eve.

It's safe to say things were looking much bleaker in the future too, most notably when a distraught-looking John Paul (James Sutton) was seen standing over a body bag.

Now, of course, fans are desperate to know who died.

"I think there's always that danger, especially knowing that his boss is making an appearance - that's an added threat for Jordan," Calland said of the possibility of his character, who is the main villain in the show's ongoing County Lines storyline, meeting his end.

"I want to say he's safe, but it's a dog eat dog world, it's survival of the fittest."

He continued on to say that, when it comes to all of his drug dealing endeavours, there must be a part of Jordan that feels guilt about hurting those around him. But he understands that it's his work and "his neck [is] on the line" if he doesn't follow through.

"If he has to choose between himself and another person, he'd rather it was the other person that gets in trouble," the actor added.

"He's got people who tell him what to do, just as he tells people below him what to do. Even though he's 'high up' he's still got pressures behind him, so he's just staying out of trouble by putting people in trouble who are below him."

Calland also admitted that despite his character's brace face, he knows it's a different story underneath the facade.

"He’s been in this game for a long time but he’s always going to get scared. Whether that’s scared of the people who are above him, or scared of rival people, I think he is scared of a multitude of things, he just puts on a brave face consistently."

Hollyoaks airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm. Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 will feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites.
