Hollyoaks' Toby Faroe is struggling with the man's he's become after being experimented on as a child by the evil Dr Ley. After he recently wanted to murder his mum Martine Deveraux, it was decided that the only way to help him is to bring Dr Ley back!

Unsurprisingly, she's not there to help.

The scenes with Dr Ley breaking Toby down and manipulating him were tough to film for actor Bobby Gordon, so much so that he had to call his mum up at the end of every day.

Speaking to Inside Soap, the star said: "We'd have a conversation and I'd ask her, 'You still love me, right?' to which she'd reply, 'Of course I love you, son!'

"But I just needed to hear it, because I have to pretend to be a person who's never experienced love, so I have to remind myself how fortunate I am to not be in that position.

"It does take its toll on you when you're tapping into that mindset all day, but I'm so grateful to be able to showcase that side of Toby. There's some interesting stuff to come..."
