Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter addresses painful pregnancy symptom
Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter has addressed a painful pregnancy symptom in a funny video.
The actor, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, took to her social media to raise awareness of "lightning crotch" (scientific name).
"Why don’t more women talk about this in pregnancy?" she wrote in the caption, alongside a video of her day-to-day activities interrupted by thunderbolts in the groin.
"Minding my own business, trying to go about my day… then bam. I had totally forgotten alllll about this."

Fans in the comments recalled their own experiences of the symptom and shared their own names for the pain, with multiple commenters saying that they call them "fanny daggers."
Jorgie announced that she is expecting her second child, with fiancé Oliver Piotrowski, on ITVbe's fly-on-the-wall reality show Drama Queens, and followed it up with a post on her Instagram.
She gave birth to her first child, a son, in November 2022.

Earlier this year, Jorgie stated that if she was ever to join another soap, it would be a certain Australian one, but she insisted that she has no plans to leave Hollyoaks any time soon.
"The first time I left, the whole crew in the building said goodbye, but the second time, they were like 'Oh, you've already gone'. I love Theresa, so I hope she does last forever," the actor said.
Theresa and her fellow McQueens are planning to run the café that Warren Fox bought for Mercedes, but with the venue already targeted by mysterious gangster Blue, will it go ahead without incident?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
