Hollyoaks star Kéllé Bryan has revealed that her Twitter account has been targeted by hackers.
Kéllé, who plays Martine Deveraux in the Channel 4 soap, shared that she had been hacked with a post on Instagram on Thursday (January 28) where she posted an image about the incident.
"Please be aware that my Twitter account @kellebryan has been hacked," the message read.
She asked her fans to "be digitally safe" and not interact with any tweets from her account for the time being.
"Twitter has been notified," she added.
Kéllé captioned the post by calling it an "official notification" for her fans.
"I utilise #twitter mainly to communicate with fans and friends of my work, express my social views and generally stay connected which as we all know is important in these times," she wrote.
"I would use caution and not interact with any post's [sic] as they appear to be spam. The incident has been reported to twitter and hopefully it will be resolved soon."
"Honestly, it's such a joy having her here," Kéllé told Digital Spy. "We share so much in common. She was brilliant because it's supposed to be confidential when you join the show.
"So she called me up and said, 'One of my friends is thinking of joining the cast of Hollyoaks, can you give me some insight into what it's like?' I gave her all the insights and she said: 'Oh that's brilliant, thanks so much hun'.
"Three or four weeks later, she was like, 'You know that friend of mine? It's me!' I was like, 'What?! Oh my God! You totally conned me!'"
Hollyoaks continues tonight at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with a first look screening at 7pm on E4.
