Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Kirsty-Leigh Porter has been teasing the show's mysterious flashforward scenes as she reveals her theories on who could be involved.

Last December, the Channel 4 soap offered fans a peek into the future in a special episode that jumped intermittently to December 2020.

One scene in particular saw Kirsty's character Leela find her foster son Sid's smashed up guitar, leaving fans to ponder what could have happened.

Discussing her thoughts, Kirsty told Digital Spy: "Well in my little bits of the flashforwards, I was on my own in the scenes so when I am watching it like a viewer like everyone else, I am trying to guess as well."

She continued: "In my mind, I liked to think of it like Black Mirror where you can choose your ending, although I know the writers have had it planned for a very long time.

"It's good to keep the guessing element to it and come up with all these theories. None of them are right though, although maybe they are. We've not been told anything."

The other big talking point from the flashforward is regarding the mystery wedding, and specifically who could be involved.

Romeo and Tom were both seen in similar suits outside The Dog in the scenes, suggesting that one of them could be the groom, while several fan theories have speculated that Peri could be the bride.

Kirsty said: "I haven't got a clue as I am not properly involved in it really. It could be Peri or Sid, or it could end up being Yazz.

"It could literally be anyone, though. If I am involved then I am involved, but at the moment, I've not been told anything. It's nice as it keeps things really fun on set. It's exciting."

Regarding the mysterious body bag scene – which strongly suggests that one character will be losing their life at the end of the year – Kirsty joked: "I keep saying that everyone is on their best behaviour because we just don't know who could end up in that body bag!

"I don't think anybody really knows, it could be anybody and it could affect everyone in the village. The county lines story links everyone so it could literally be anybody."

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4. Classic episodes, titled Hollyoaks Favourites, air on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 7pm on E4.
