Hollyoaks star Nadine Mulkerrin suggests Cleo baby story

Hollyoaks star Nadine Mulkerrin has suggested a baby story for her character Cleo McQueen.
Cleo is currently suffering abuse at the hands of her partner Abe Fielding, who has continued to manipulate her and make snide comments about her eating habits.
Last week, when Sally noted that babies bring couples together, Abe told Cleo that he wanted to start a family with her, leaving her horrified.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Mulkerrin revealed that Cleo thinks it's too "fast" to begin trying for a baby because she isn't in the right place "mentally or physically".

"They've only just moved in together, so she thinks it's a bit fast. She's not in a good place mentally or physically and it's clearly Abe love-bombing to keep her all to himself," she said. "If she's pregnant then Abe thinks, 'She's really mine forever'."
Despite Cleo not being ready for parenthood, Mulkerrin went on to suggest that becoming a mother could help her get out of "horrible" relationships.
She also explained why it would be a "strange existence" if Joel, who is played by her real-life partner Rory Douglas-Speed, turned out to be the father.
"I think that would be the making of her, and having children to prioritise might stop these horrible relationships she gets in," Mulkerrin said.

"Although if Joel was the father, me and Rory would never get a break! We'd go to work and pretend to be parents, then come home to be mum and dad to our own two boys... it would be a very strange existence. I wouldn't know what was real and what was fictional!"
In scenes set to air this week, Cleo's story takes an even darker turn as Abe hires an escort for her for the night.
When she pays him to leave, Abe isn't happy and puts pressure on Cleo, saying that she is going back on the open relationship agreement they recently made. Desperate to get away from Abe, Cleo then begins to plan her escape.
On Cleo's future with Abe, Mulkerrin teased: "Abe has her right where he wants her, but it all reaches a climax for Cleo and Abe soon. Maybe she'll end up on a beach somewhere on her own!"
