Hollyoaks fans who think that Harry Thompson is responsible for Amy Barnes' death might have a point – as Parry Glasspool thinks his character has been looking pretty guilty too.

Harry's boyfriend Ste is currently the prime suspect for causing Amy's demise after he confessed to killing his ex amid an explosive row over their children.

The shock realisation led to Ste being sent to jail, but next week's Hollyoaks episodes will reveal that there is much more to this complex case than meets the eye.

Convinced that Ste is innocent, Harry will fight tooth and nail to get him released from prison, but Parry can completely see why viewers think his own alter ego is hiding a very guilty conscience.

"When I watched that week of episodes, even I thought, 'Wow, I look really guilty'," he told Inside Soap.

"But it's interesting to see how everyone has been reacting to it all because somebody is always doing something suspicious. I don't know who the killer is either, and I've thought about it so much I couldn't even hazard a guess."

Discussing next week's dramatic episodes, which will see Harry resort to drastic measures in order to stop Ste pleading guilty in court, Parry reveals: "He pulls it off by the skin of his teeth, and he does it in a way that I thought was so hilariously soap!

"It's a tense affair, though he finds a way to get through and talk to Ste. I can't say more than that!"

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm.
