Hollyoaks spoilers follow from the show's festive box set, which is available to watch now on All4. These episodes will not air on Channel 4 and E4 until later in December.
Hollyoaks' long-running County Lines story has taken another very dark turn as drugs boss Victor Brothers (Benjamin O'Mahony) attacked Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) and made a disturbing threat after her attempt to set him up and expose him backfired.
As New Year's Eve arrived, Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) was left feeling guilty when his aunt Nancy Hayton (Jessica Fox) told him how proud she was of how he has handled himself this year.
Things took another turn for the worse for Juliet as her brother Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) discovered that Cher Winters (Bethannie Hare) had been right about Juliet and she really has been dealing drugs. Furious Romeo told Juliet that he doesn't even know who she is anymore and stormed away from her.
Teenage drug runners Juliet, Charlie and Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer) were all feeling vulnerable as Victor called them together for their latest instructions, with Juliet panicking when Victor announced that he wanted Ella to hide drugs and take a train to collect payments.
Juliet decided that Victor had gone too far this time and she met up with Sid Sumner (Billy Price) to tell him that she doesn't want to be involved with the drugs ring anymore, revealing her fears for Ella, Charlie and her family.
"It's so messed up – I can't be this person," she told Sid. "The only way this is going to be over is if I make it over."
Juliet revealed her plan to record Victor speaking about his plot and things started well for her when she met up with him and started recording on her phone.
Feigning an apology, Juliet told Victor that she hadn't meant to criticise him earlier over his plans for Ella and insisted that she wanted to prove herself to him, before asking him to reveal his plans for the evening so that she could help him.
However, suspicious Victor wasn't fooled and asked Juliet if he could see her phone. She tried to lie that she didn't have it with her but Victor was having none of it, viciously hitting Juliet across the face and knocking her to the ground. Juliet's phone fell to the ground and Victor picked it up, stopping the all-important recording.
"Oh Juliet, I'm sad now," he said. "I thought you were smart. I warned you that screwing me over again would be a bad idea."
He then issued the teenager a terrifying threat, saying: "Now thanks to you, somebody you love ain't going to live to see midnight. Happy new year."
Juliet was left fearing for the lives of everybody she loves and we know that one person in the village won't live to see 2021 – but who is it?
