Hollyoaks' Warren makes a life-changing decision in missing twins plot

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Tuesday.

Tonight's (September 2) Hollyoaks streaming episode saw Warren Fox make a life-changing decision amid the missing twins storyline.

Warren was recently arrested under suspicion of murdering his mum Norma, though she was actually shot in her flat by gangster Blue, AKA Dave Williams. Warren discovered her body weeks later, after believing she had left the country.

Last week, Joel made a false statement to the police, confirming that he was with his dad on the night of Norma's murder.

The police later discovered damning CCTV images that proved Joel was lying about being with Warren. He was therefore arrested for perverting the course of justice.

Meanwhile, Dave wasn't pleased with the news of Warren's possible return to the village, so he decided to kidnap Mercedes and Warren's twin daughters.

Tonight's episode saw the villagers begin to search for the twins, with Donny persuading Mercedes not to call the police as they need to find out what Blue wants first.

"When it comes to Blue, the first sign of any police involvement and you can kiss goodbye to any chance of seeing your twins again," he said.

After receiving a text from Blue, a worried Mercedes headed to the prison to tell Warren about the kidnapping, and informed him of Blue's instructions. If they want to see the twins again, Warren must confess to killing his mum and spend the rest of his life in jail.

Mercedes begged Warren to prioritise saving their daughters, saying: "I wish there was another way to get the girls back, to get you out of here. But, the truth is, this feud with Blue is going to end up costing us everything."

"You do realise what this means if I do this, don't you?" replied an angry Warren, before Merecedes acknowledged it was "the only way" to get the twins back.

Meanwhile, Tom spotted Rex and Dave having a covert discussion, before seeing Dave receive a suspicious call from Mercedes. Dave was spooked and warned Tom to leave, before speeding away.

Tom later told Cindy that he believed Dave had something to do with the twins' disappearance, saying: "Something's wrong here Cindy, something's seriously wrong."

After providing a false alibi, Joel was taken into custody, but was soon informed that the charges against him had been dropped as Warren had signed a confession to killing Norma.

When the police officer asked why Warren chose to confess now, he said: "Maybe the guilt got the better of me, or maybe I just realised when I've lost."

As Warren signed the papers, Mercedes was relieved to find the twins sleeping on her doorstep.

When will the truth surrounding Norma's death be uncovered?
