Yahoo News Hollyoaks wedding ruined as Darren's secret is exposed
Hollyoaks' Darren Osborne could lose everything next week as he's forced to make a big confession over his dodgy drug deals.
Darren has found himself doing illegal jobs for local criminal Shane Sweeney, and has even covered his tracks by telling his wife Nancy (Jessica Fox) that he's gambling again.
Next week, Darren goes missing after renewing his wedding vows with Nancy, which prompts Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) to reveal his suspicions over what he's up to.
When Darren finally returns, furious Nancy shows exactly how she feels about his antics by slapping him across the face.
Knowing the game is up, Darren then sheepishly confesses his guilt to his entire family, explaining how he only wanted the extra money to support them all in the wake of Nancy's MS diagnosis.
Despite Darren's excuses, Nancy struggles to forgive her wayward husband and Hollyoaks fans will be left fearing that the Osbornes are about to split up – again!
Ashley Taylor Dawson, who plays Darren, revealed: "This week is a big one for Darren and everything comes crashing down on him. Nancy decides she wants a vow renewal to prove her love to him, meanwhile Darren is stuck in this drug dealing world that Shane won't let him get out of.
"Things all go wrong when Nancy discovers his secret drug job. Darren is absolutely gutted. Tom tried to help him along the way and has given him chances, but Darren thinks everything has been sorted and he might actually get away with it all.
"In fact, Tom has dished the dirt. Basically, in Darren's eyes, it ruins everything."
Asked whether Nancy can ever forgive Darren, he replied: "Forgive is one thing, forgetting is another. It's always easy to forgive, but you never forget.
"They've been through a lot together, but the difference with this is it's drugs and it's affecting other people's lives. It's a lot darker than anything else they've been through or anything else that's happened.
"What Darren has done is the lowest of the low, so it will be very hard for Nancy to forgive that."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
