Hollywood star Dougray Scott spotted filming in West End
Hollywood actor Dougray Scott was spotted on the set of Crime today.
The star is currently in Glasgow filming the second season of the ITVX drama, which is based on an Irvine Welsh novel.
Production crews were pictured in the city's West End, with filming taking place on Horselethill Road and Rosslyn Terrace.
As well as lighting vans, costume and make-up trucks, crew members, actors, and the show's director were seen on set.
Scott was spotted in a blue suit, filming a scene in which he runs out a house and down the street.
During this scene, three other actors were also filmed running out of properties.
Police cars and actors in uniforms were also seen racing down the street and pulling up to a house at one point.
Alongside Scott, Ken Stott, Joanna Vanderham, John Simm and Derek Riddell will all reprise their roles for season two.
According to ITV, the second series will see DI Ray Lennox (Scott) return to the fray at Edinburgh Serious Crimes, keen to prove he is fully recovered from his breakdown. But he’s surprised to find that it’s all changed.
A spokesperson for ITV said: "When one of Lennox’s former colleagues is attacked, Lennox and Drummond quickly realise that all is not as it seems as they become embroiled in a case about vengeance, identity and social justice.
"The attack is linked to a gruesome attempted murder on a high-ranking establishment figure at a posh hotel which has been hushed up from the police.
"As Lennox investigates via Edinburgh’s saunas, crack dens and poshest hotels, he finds doors slammed in his face; there is an Establishment cover up at play."
Scott previously said: "I'm thrilled that I get to continue playing this complex and dynamic character, and to once again get to work with this magnificent creative team.
"Season two takes us even deeper into Lennox's past, and helps us understand his persona even more.
"I couldn't be happier.”
