Home and Away has confirmed a new shock kidnapping story for some of its teen characters, as Nikau Parata, Bella Nixon, Ryder Jackson and Chloe Anderson are all caught up in the scary encounter in upcoming scenes.

Airing in Australia this week (and on UK screens in about a month's time), Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo), Bella (Courtney Miller), Ryder (Lukas Radovich) and Chloe (Sam Barrett) will be bundled into the back of a van and then locked inside a shipping container – without any clue as to who has kidnapped them or why.

As TV Week reports, those questions will soon be answered when the container is opened and the teens' captors are revealed to be Paul and his dodgy pals.

This confusing turn of events begins to make complete sense, though, when Paul calls Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) and promises to release the youngsters in exchange for Tane and Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams).

"Ari is devastated when he finds out about the kids [being taken]," Rob Kipa-Williams explained.

"Chloe [his stepdaughter] has only just arrived and he's finally convinced Mia his old life is behind him."

Gangster Paul had been terrorising Tane over a debt in recent weeks, while Ari and his girlfriend Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) had been taking steps to repay the villain.

Paul had continued ordering the Paratas to work off the debt by carrying out criminal activity, but the brothers thought that the situation had been controlled after Heath Braxton returned with a warning to Paul.

With Paul now back in Summer Bay and stirring up trouble yet again, can Ari and Tane rescue the group in time?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
