Zac will leave the Bay after discovering that Hunter King isn't his son after all, while he prepares to finalise his divorce from Leah Patterson.

Struggling to come to terms with the loss of his wife, son and family, Zac realises he's in need of a fresh start and decides to move to Vietnam to live with Evie and Matt.

Opening up about his exit, Charlie said: "I couldn't have asked for a better exit... I was happy with the work I'd done – and the storyline wrapped up nicely."

He added: "On one hand, I'm going to miss everybody, and on the other it felt like it was the right time to go... I'm really proud of what Ada [Nicodemou] and I did together."

Luckily for fans, Charlie isn't closing his door on the soap for good and teased that we might be seeing the return of Zac in the future.

"I'd definitely think about coming back," he admitted. "[A]t least to cause a little trouble!"

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 in the UK, and Monday to Thursday at 7pm on Network Seven in Australia.
