Home and Away has provided a new production update, with the soap confirming that filming has resumed.
Home and Away took a scheduled two-week production break in July, which was extended after new Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were introduced in Sydney, where the soap is filmed.
A Home and Away spokesperson has now confirmed to Digital Spy that filming is resuming, saying: "We can confirm that production is returning and adhering strictly to all government protocols and restrictions."
There's plenty of drama coming up in the Bay for both Australian and UK viewers, with Nikau Parata (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller)'s relationship on the rocks and the aftermath of a dramatic explosion and a car crash playing out.
It's not all bad news for Summer Bay's residents though, as there is also lots of romance in the air.
Actor Lukas Radovich, who plays Ryder Jackson, recently revealed that the show has begun taking a new approach to on-screen romantic scenes, telling Digital Spy that he and co-star Sam Barrett (Chloe Anderson) have been working with an intimacy coordinator as Ryder and Chloe's relationship develops.
"It's been a new experience for me as we have been working with an intimacy coordinator and that's the first time I've worked with one," he said. "It's something that Home and Away has been doing for a couple of the new couples on the show, and something that they want to do moving forwards for every fresh relationship.
"I've learnt a lot of skills on how to approach intimate scenes, and that's reflected in the story. It's just as vital as working with a stunt coordinator – so it was super interesting to look at intimate scenes in that way as well."
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
