Home and Away spoilers follow for both UK and Australian viewers.

Home and Away has teased some new hurdles in Dean and Ziggy's relationship as he recovers from his horrific accident.

Australian viewers saw Dean (Patrick O'Connor) and Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) reunite last week when she kissed him in his hospital bed after Dean's involvement in the big car crash. Now that he's recovering he has to get to terms with more than just his aching body.

Dr Logan (Harley Bonner) breaks the news to him that he is soon to start physiotherapy, but instead of looking forward to his recovery, Dean's mood sours. He realises he has a tough journey ahead of himself and he is worried about what that will do to Ziggy so he sends her away.

"Dean definitely still loves Ziggy, but it's the situation he's found himself in that's causing him to revert inwards," Patrick told TV WEEK.

When Ziggy returns to the hospital she walks into Dean's first physiotherapy session. He is struggling and in pain which makes Ziggy wonder whether he needs more medication.

Frustrated with himself, Dead has a meltdown and orders Ziggy to leave before giving up on the physiotherapy too.

"His pride has taken a big hit and he feels as though he's not the boyfriend that Ziggy either needs or deserves," said Patrick. "He struggles to accept that she will love him."

But Ziggy isn't so easily defeated. She soon returns to visit Dean, bringing Logan and Mac (Emily Weir) with her this time. Unsurprisingly, Dean's hostility continues and he orders everyone out of the room.

"I think Ziggy forgave Dean the second she thought she'd lost him," Sophie told the publication of Dean's involvement covering up the murder of Ross Nixon (Justin Rosniak), for which Colby (Tim Franklin) is now serving time in prison.

But will Ziggy be able to forgive Dean's recent behaviour or is this it for the Summer Bay couple?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK), with first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
