The actress, who has played Leah Patterson on the Australian show for two decades, was left heartbroken when she delivered her stillborn son Harrison in 2014.
Harrison was Ada's second child with ex-husband Chrys Xipolitas. The couple ended their nine-year marriage in 2016.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Ada has since credited Home and Away for helping her get through the traumatic experience of losing her child.
"I don't know if I would have been able to get through it all if it wasn't for this fantastic job," she said.
"I just couldn't wait to get back and it just saved me. I needed to be busy. To be able to have something to come back to was all I needed and I had this beautiful family here who supported me and loved me."
In 2015, Ada told New Idea that she'd never be completely happy again after losing her baby.
"How do you cope with this? How do you cope? What's upsetting is that this is part of our story now. It's something you never imagine. It's just one of the most unnatural things you could ever go through," she said.
"It's not that I will never be a complete person again, but I just wonder... How can I say? I just feel I can never be completely happy again because this has happened."
