Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away's Chloe Anderson is among the most seriously injured as her food truck explodes in a dramatic storyline on UK screens next week.

A big new stunt storyline sees the business blow up in mysterious circumstances, with Chloe right in the centre of the danger zone.

Chloe is rushed to hospital while her loved ones in the Bay desperately try to figure out what went so horribly wrong.

Here, Sam Barrett – who plays Chloe – reveals more about her character's role in the storyline.

Chloe and Ryder's business journey seems to be taking off so far. How has it been to film this storyline now that Chloe is settled in the Bay?

"Chloe is such a great businesswoman and it's great to see her spread her wings and establish herself further in the Bay with this new business.

"I think Chloe is really hopeful about where this all could go for her and it's been so nice to play out that journey for her."

Chloe and Ryder's relationship also seems to be going from strength to strength...

"Ryder and Chloe are both such interesting and complex characters. They are friends as well as partners and now with them also being in business together, I think it just shows how solid their relationship currently is. They both just want the best for each other."

Prior to the explosion, is Chloe concerned at all about the growing tensions between Ryder and Mac?

"She is, but she also trusts that Ryder is a good guy and is looking out for the best interest of the business.

"I think Chloe and Mac deep down still have respect for each other, but at the end of the day, it's just business and they are all competitive people."

What were the explosion scenes like to film?

"It was such a massive couple of days filming those scenes. We all had such a great time and there were many details and stunts involved to make it all come together. The cast and crew did such a fantastic job."

What can you tell us about Chloe's role in the story?

"Chloe is closest to the truck, so unfortunately is quite badly injured. She needs immediate help and is losing a lot of blood.

"She is rushed to hospital, where they do everything they can to minimise the damage that has been done."

Is there a long road ahead for Chloe in her recovery?

"Though Chloe is really set back from all that has happened, she is extremely tough and determined. She won't let this stop her, but it will put her out for a while.

"As you can expect, though, she will use this downtime to her advantage to plot her next move.

"Ryder always has Chloe's back and wants to make sure he looks after her during her recovery. He will do everything he can to fix their current situation and the damage that has been done to their business."

Are Chloe and Ryder both worried about what will happen to their business now?

"I think they both are definitely struggling to make the business work and get things back up and running.

"They've taken a massive hit, not only physically but of course financially, and will need to be smart and work incredibly hard to keep their business alive."

Chloe has also recently discovered that she's going to be a big sister. How does she feel about Mia and Ari taking this step?

"Chloe has always wanted to be a big sister. She is overjoyed with the news, but given her family's history with pregnancy, she is worried for her mum and wants to make sure she will be safe.

"Chloe really just wants peace and happiness for her family."

What's next for Chloe?

"Chloe is of course on the mend after the explosion. She definitely enjoys her downtime and kind of reconnects with her family, so there are some really sweet scenes that you'll see. She wants to make sure Mia and Ari are living their best lives.

"There is also possibly another job on the horizon, maybe not one that Chloe would have expected either, stay tuned!"
