The 55-year-old originally portrayed Owen's late twin brother Evan, before returning to Summer Bay in dramatic style as Owen to spark up a romance with Roo Stewart.
Cameron himself bid farewell to the role on Instagram yesterday (November 13) after his second Home and Away stint came to an end in Australian episodes this week.
To commemorate his time on the soap, Roo actress Georgie Parker praised her co-star on social media.
Next to a picture of the pair on set, she wrote: "How do I count the ways. Cam, you are such a beautiful man inside and out. We were all so lucky you were free to play with us in the Stewart household.
"You're family now, can't wait to work with you again and I'll see you and the fam soon for some early Christmas love. You are literally 'the best'."
Meanwhile, James Stewart actor Justin Morgan got in on the action too by posting his own selfie with Cameron online.
"Gunna miss this guy!! So easy to watch.. so good at what he does. Later bro," he captioned it, before Cameron commented back: "Jimmy! What a lovely thing to see. You're a top fella mate.
"The orange Kombi will return... see ya down the road. Loved hangin with you. Keep up the great work brother. Xx".
