Home and Away's Leah Patterson could forgive her cheating husband Zac MacGuire after all when an unexpected twist sees them come back together.

Zac risked everything when he recently cheated on Leah with his novel editor Sam, and he'll pay a high price for his infidelity when his marriage breaks down as a result.

Australian viewers have been watching the fallout of Zac's adultery for the last few weeks as Leah refused to forgive him, but a surprise new development looks set to change everything.

When a death scare doesn't bring them to their senses, it really does look like it's curtains for Summer Bay's once-so-solid couple, much to the disappointment of their friends – who have been praying they can work through their problems.

But another turbulent week for Leah will kick off when she has a bitter clash with her former best friend Irene Roberts at the Diner.

A well-meaning Marilyn desperately tries to get the pair to resolve their differences regarding baby Luc over lunch, but her good intentions backfire when Leah turns on her and demands she stay out of her life.

Feeling like the whole world is against her, Leah is relieved when she manages to resolve the ongoing tension with Zac in a conversation that sees them amicably agree to part ways.

However, just as Zac is about to leave her forever, Leah surprises him with a kiss and asks him to stay the night. Is there hope for the troubled couple after all?

Home and Away's UK audience will see these scenes towards the end of June. The show airs at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
