Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away's Ari Parata has a tough fight on his hands on UK screens next week as Mia Anderson questions their future as a couple.
Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) struggles as Mia pushes him away following the tragic loss of their unborn baby.
Upcoming episodes on Channel 5 see Mia (Anna Samson) suffer a miscarriage after her involvement in a car crash with Nikau and Dean.
In next week's episodes, Mia is discharged from hospital and accepts support from Chloe (Sam Barrett) and Tane (Ethan Browne) as she returns to the Parata house.
Mia's attitude towards Ari is very different as she's noticeably cold towards him and avoids any opportunity for them to be alone together.
Things come to a head when Mia notices that her ultrasound picture has disappeared from the fridge.
Mia angrily accuses Ari of wanting to forget all about their baby. She later realises this was wrong when Ari shows her that he has put the photo into their existing memory box for their baby son Kauri, who died shortly after his birth.
Later in the week, Mia prepares to go to work for the first time since the crash.
Ari worries that it's too soon and offers to go with her, but Mia once again makes it clear that she doesn't want him around.
Soon afterwards, Ari accepts some advice from Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), who suggests that he should keep persisting with Mia to ensure that he's there when she's finally ready to open up to him again.
Ari follows this advice by arriving at the gym and insisting on staying for a long workout, which allows him to keep an eye on Mia.
In the end, Mia finally cracks and explains to Ari that she can't bear to try for another baby with him after all of the heartbreak they've suffered over the years.
Mia adds that if this is a deal-breaker for Ari, they may have to go their separate ways.
Ari is stunned to realise that this is what has been bothering Mia and he insists that he just wants her, with or without a baby. Can this promise help to fix things between them?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday, September 22 and Friday, September 24 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
