Home and Away has revealed that Colby Thorne will be betrayed by a mystery witness in a shock new storyline twist.

The corrupt policeman has spent weeks evading justice over the murder of his abusive stepfather Ross Nixon, which is being investigated by no-nonsense detective Angelo Rosetta.

However, a new trailer currently on air in Australia – which can be viewed at the top of the page – has now revealed that Colby's luck may soon run out.

Brand new spoiler footage shows Colby finally being arrested as his crime catches up with him.

The turning point seems to revolve around a mystery person, known only as Witness X, who decides to come forward to give evidence against Colby.

Colby is given cause to question those closest to him as the unknown individual clearly has knowledge of the case.

Regular Home and Away viewers will know that Bella Nixon, Dean Thompson, Willow Harris, Ziggy Astoni and Nikau Parata are among those who know that Colby is a killer.

Colby's ex-wife Chelsea Campbell also knows his secret, although she left the show at the start of 2019.

Who will turn against Colby and is he heading to prison? All will be revealed when these episodes air on Australian screens in the coming weeks.

Thursday night's triple bill of episodes in Australia (October 29) saw Colby's nemesis Angelo finally confront him over his affair with Taylor.

Taylor later cut ties with Colby, finally seeing that he only pursued her to get information on Angelo's investigation.

Home and Away airs weeknights at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
