Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away's Dean Thompson fears the worst on UK screens next week after his troubled sister Mackenzie Booth disappears.
Dean (Patrick O'Connor) struggles to cope after Mac vanishes following weeks of erratic behaviour.
In upcoming episodes on Channel 5, Mac (Emily Weir) appears to reach a breakthrough when she watches back some embarrassing footage that shows her drunk at a party.
Mac explains to Dean that she wants to change, but doesn't see a way forward after alienating all of her friends. Dean encourages Mac to try, but she then goes missing.
Dean initially tries not to worry as he repeatedly calls Mac and gets no answer. As he talks through the situation with Jasmine Delaney, they both hope that Mac merely has her phone on silent.
Later on, however, Dean's worries escalate when he finds Mac's phone behind a cushion at the pier apartment. He doesn't understand why she would have left town without it.
When another day passes and there's still no sign of Mac, Dean heads to the police station to report her as a missing person.
Dean suspects that the police will play down the case, but realises he has done the right thing when they immediately take it seriously.
A few more days pass and Dean has to step in to deal with Salt, which is starting to struggle due to Mac's ongoing absence.
Dean asks Ryder Jackson to step in and take care of things while Mac is away, even though they've been on bad terms for a while.
Events then take a sinister turn when fishermen find a body in the water and the police are called.
Ryder decides that Dean needs to know, so he pays a visit and explains that the body is thought to be a woman. Dean immediately fears that it could be Mac.
Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, July 19, Tuesday, July 20 and Friday, July 23 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
