Yahoo News Home and Away's Irene Roberts could go to jail as she plans shock confession

Home and Away's Irene Roberts could be facing jail after attacking Bella Nixon's groomer.
In scenes which have only aired in Australia so far, Irene (Lynne McGranger) helped Bella (Courtney Miller) to fight off Tommy (Adam Sollis). She saved Bella by smashing a vase over his head, but when Tommy recovered and went for another attack, Irene hit Tommy with a champagne bottle multiple times on the head.
She explained that her attack on Tommy was triggered by her previous trauma.
"It's a full-on reaction to what Tommy says, and it dredges up everything about her traumatic past that she's tried to bury," she said.
Tommy ends up in hospital and fighting for his life, and McGranger shared that Irene struggles with guilt in the aftermath.

"She tussles with it for a while, but eventually says no, they have to tell the truth," she told TV Week.
"She's listened to her friends who've heard about the attack and are labelling whoever did it a 'monster', and she just can't handle the guilt. It's too much."
With the guilt hanging heavily on her, Irene decides to turn herself into the police station – but will she will go through with the confession or will we see a big twist or change of heart?
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Seven (Australia).
