Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away's John Palmer seeks closure on UK screens next week as he attempts to arrange a meeting with scheming Susie McAllister.
John (Shane Withington) had his world turned upside-down earlier this year when Susie did a runner with his life savings after weeks of deception.
Since Susie (Bridie Carter) departed, John has struggled to accept the devastating realisation that their entire "relationship" was a lie.
In upcoming episodes on Channel 5, John meets up with Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou) and newcomer Stephen Tennyson (Bren Foster) to discuss some mysterious text messages he has seemingly received from Susie.
A private investigator has advised that the texts came from a burner phone and are untraceable, leaving them no further forward when it comes to tracking down Susie.
John, Leah and Stephen make another plan by sending Susie a message, claiming that John wants to meet alone.
Once Susie confirms that she wants to see John tomorrow, he continues to discuss best tactics with Leah and Stephen.
Leah and Stephen think that they should go to the police, who can take it from here, but John insists that he needs answers. In the end, it's agreed that John will meet Susie while Leah and Stephen hide away nearby.
When the day of the meeting arrives, John patiently waits for Susie while Leah and Stephen set up a lookout nearby.
Unfortunately for John, there's no sign of Susie and the trio later have to give up on the mission when it's clear that she's not coming.
Later, back at the Diner, John receives a text rebuking him for the subterfuge: "I thought it was just going to be you and me".
John sends back an apology text and begs for another chance, but is he really talking to Susie or is there more to these messages than meets the eye?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Thursday, July 8 and Friday, July 9 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5. Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
