Yahoo News Home and Away's John Palmer collapses at eventful Summer Bay party

Home and Away airs a shock collapse for John Palmer next week.
John (Shane Withington) becomes seriously ill while attending a party which has been thrown by the Parata family.
Upcoming episodes see the Paratas invite a number of the Summer Bay residents to their new home, hoping to celebrate their fresh start now they have a place of their own.
The gathering is eventful from the start, as bickering brothers Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) and Tane (Ethan Browne) find themselves at odds over Mackenzie Booth again.

Tane makes a beeline for Mackenzie (Emily Weir) at the party, flirting and trying to impress her.
Mackenzie asks Tane to back off, while Ari struggles to keep his cool when he finds out what his sibling is up to.
Ben Astoni (Rohan Nichol) is also among the guests and it's his first major social gathering since separating from his wife Maggie.
He gets to know Gemma Parata (Bree Peters) better, leaving Gemma's son Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) concerned that there may be a romantic spark developing. Nikau takes an instant disliking to Ben, not wanting his late father to be replaced.

Later, John also reluctantly shows up, despite his early tensions with the Parata family.
Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) thanks Gemma for being kind enough to invite John, but the happy atmosphere doesn't last for long when John falls ill.
John's speech becomes slurred and he feels dizzy, before falling to the ground.
An ambulance is called and John has to be rushed to hospital, where it's revealed that he has suffered a stroke.
Home and Away airs these scenes on Friday, July 3 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
