Home and Away's Lynne McGranger has reunited with former co-star Johnny Ruffo in a heartwarming photo.
Johnny, who is currently battling brain cancer, took to Instagram on Sunday (February 21) to share the snap with his followers.
"Always a pleasure catching up with this beautiful lady," he captioned the image, in which both of them are sporting a massive grin.
According to Johnny's girlfriend Tahnee Sims, Lynne – who plays Irene Roberts on the Australian soap – is his 'bestie'.
Tahnee was unable to attend the little reunion, but Lynne's partner Paul McWaters got to join in on the fun.
She captioned a post of her own: "Lunch with these Muppets. @mcsquirta @johnny_ruffo Missed you @tahneesims."
Johnny, who played Chris Harrington on Home and Away, revealed that his cancer had returned in November 2020, having been in remission for a year prior.
He wrote at the time: "After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned. Though I will dig deep and beat this shit disease again."
In August 2017, Johnny announced that he'd undergone surgery to remove a brain tumour, which was discovered after he was hospitalised for a migraine.
Johnny featured on Home and Away from 2013 to 2016, before leaving to pursue other career opportunities.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
