Home and Away's Rose gives a dire warning over Irene's future

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away's Rose Delaney predicts jail time for a Summer Bay favourite on UK screens next week.

Rose is horrified when she discovers how far Irene Roberts, Cash Newman and Harper Matheson have gone while trying to protect troubled newcomer Dana.

Upcoming scenes see corrupt police detective DS Madden finally get arrested after his evil scheming culminates in a shocking plan to kidnap and murder Dana.

While most people are simply relieved to see Madden and his accomplice Fletcher put behind bars to await trial, Rose's true feelings are revealed in a heart-to-heart with her boyfriend Mali Hudson.

Rose is late for a planned date with Mali at Salt when she's involved in a police mission to rescue Dana from an abandoned shack, where Madden is holding her captive.

When Rose finally arrives at the restaurant, she tells Mali that she was pleased to see the bad guy brought to justice. However, she adds that she can't help thinking this isn't the end of the matter for all concerned.

Rose also speaks separately with those involved, questioning her colleague Cash on why he thought it was okay to break the rules.

Cash was aware of Dana hiding out at Irene's house with Harper when there was a warrant out for her arrest, but he failed to bring her in.

Although Cash makes no apologies for not handing Dana over to corrupt detectives, Rose believes there must have been another way of dealing with things.

Rose also speaks to Irene, warning of a real chance that she, Harper and Cash will have charges filed against them for breaking the law. If this happens, they could all be looking at jail time.

Irene panics after this conversation with Rose and she confides in her friend John Palmer about how worried she is over a potential prison sentence.
