Home and Away's Theo in huge blunder at Justin's trial

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away's Theo Poulos fears he has ruined Justin Morgan's chances of avoiding a prison sentence on UK screens next week.

Theo is one of the key witnesses in Justin's GBH trial, but he trips up under the pressure of the prosecution's questioning.

Justin recently launched a vicious attack on a stranger called Conor, after his manipulative daughter Ava Gilbert lied about being kidnapped by him.

When Justin was arrested for his violent actions, Ava was forced to admit that she'd made the story up in a bid to seek attention from Theo.

In next week's episodes on Channel 5, Theo goes to court and tries his best to defend Justin when giving evidence.

Sadly, Theo soon emerges from the courtroom shellshocked, admitting that his witness testimony was a total disaster.

While being quizzed by the prosecution, Theo accidentally confirmed their argument that Ava had a history of dishonesty. This allows the prosecution to suggest that Justin shouldn't have been fooled by her lies.

Justin had previously been advised to avoid giving evidence himself, as the pressure of being cross-examined could do more harm than good.

However, after hearing how badly things went for Theo, he starts to believe that he doesn't have much left to lose and it could be worth the risk.

Justin's lawyer once again warns that this isn't a good idea, as the risk of him incriminating himself is too great.

Saving the day, Alf Stewart volunteers to be a character witness for Justin instead. He's convinced that his strong position in the local community could help to sway the court in Justin's favour.
