Home and Away spoilers follow.
Home and Away's Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) is to feel cut out after Dean Thompson's (Patrick O'Connor) life-changing news.
The Bay was recently rocked by the news that Dean has a son called Jai with former partner Amber Simmons (Maddy Jevic).
TV Week reports that the bombshell will cause Ziggy to feel like an outsider, especially after comments from Amber suggest she isn't a part of the family.
Could this spell the end for Ziggy and Dean's relationship?
The awkwardness Ziggy feels at Dean's new family commitments continues when Ziggy joins Amber, Dean and Jai for lunch only to be made to feel uncomfortable by the obvious bond they share.
After Amber makes some more comments to the mechanic and Dean tells Jai the truth about him being his dad, Ziggy makes her excuses with Dean and opts to stay the Farmhouse rather than at home they share.
Confused by her behaviour, Dean wonders what he's done to upset his partner.
Unwilling to open up to Dean about her new feelings, Ziggy begins to cry and packs a bag to leave the home, leaving the couple's future in jeopardy.
"Amber and Ziggy's relationship is a complicated one," Amber actress Maddy Jevic said.
"Amber isn't intentionally out to start drama with Ziggy, but they have different personalities – and with both having strong ties to Dean, naturally there's tension between them."
The scenes will air in Australia this week and in the UK in four weeks' time.
A promo for the soap recently shared a look at the heart-rendering scenes.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
