Home of British archaeologist who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun opened to the public

Visitors tour the former residence of British archaeologist Howard Carter, who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun with his Egyptian digging team in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor in November 1922.

Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities reopened Carter’s residence to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb.

His residence was restored by the American Research Center in Egypt.
