Homes damaged, area closed after apparent tornado hits Dale County

DALE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — Damage reports have come in after a suspected tornado hit southern Dale County early Saturday morning.

Sheriff Mason Bynum says at least three homes have been damaged in the Mabson and Asbury communities on County Road 59. No injuries have been reported.

Dale County EMA Director James Henderson tells WDHN County Road 33 at North County Road 59 seems to be the hardest hit area, with several trees down and blocking the road. Trees are down on County Roads 20 and 67.

“We will continue our damage assessment once sunrise gets here,” Sheriff Bynum says
