Homes Destroyed as Tornado Rips Through Mullica Hill, New Jersey

Dozens of homes were damaged or destroyed and one person was hospitalized after a large tornado struck in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, on September 1, according to local news.

Harrison Township Mayor Louis Manzo said one person had been hospitalized, according to local news, with 20 “demolished" homes among the 100 or so damaged.

New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency on Wednesday. “We will use every resource at our disposal to ensure the safety of New Jerseyans,” he tweeted. “Stay off the roads, stay home, and stay safe.”
