The Kim dynasty is a three generation bloodline, which began with the country’s first leader Kim-Il-sung.

Kim number 1 positioned himself to assume power at the end of Japanese control in 1945 by 1948 he was prime minister. In 1950 he instigated the Korean War to unify the Korean peninsula.
