Hornchurch crash leaves motorcyclist in his 20s dead as Met Police seek witnesses in East London

A motorcyclist in his 20s has died after a crash in Hornchurch, East London last night (Friday, September 13). Met Police officers rushed to the scene after receiving calls about a car collision with a motorbike on Upper Rainham Road near the junction with Gordon Avenue, Hornchurch at 9.45pm.

London Ambulance Service paramedics attended alongside officers but despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the rider of the motorbike sadly died from his injuries at the scene in Havering borough.

The man's family is being supported by specialist officers. The driver of the car stopped at the scene but there have been no arrests made yet and enquiries continue.

A crime scene was put in place while the incident was dealt with and enquiries are ongoing, police said.
