Hornchurch electric scooter crash: Rider fighting for life after 'serious collision' with bus

A collision between an electric scooter and a bus left a man fighting for his life.

The incident occurred around 12.30am between the scooter and a Route N365 bus in Hornchurch.

The 43-year-old rider of the scooter was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

The Metropolitan Police said that his family have been informed, after the incident in Hornchurch Road at the junction with Abbs Cross Lane.

They added that the driver of the bus stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made made.

The Met Police said in a statement: "Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

"They would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision, or the moments leading up to it, or who captured it on dash cam."
