Nazi graffiti has been spotted at a pump track in Glasgow, leaving a dog walker completely outraged.

Swastika's and the word 'Nazi' has been plastered on part of the track at Malls Mire Pump Track, just off Prospecthill Road in Toryglen. It was seen by a dog walker who was on his regular route when he came across the 'disgusting' vandalism on Monday morning.

The dog walker, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "It’s absolutely disgusting, we are in 2024 so it shouldn't be happening. There’s young kids who go through the park and will be exposed to that.

"I walk there every morning and this is the first time I’ve seen anything like this. There’s always graffiti but nothing like swastikas and nazi symbols, it was quite shocking to see. It was a massive one as well, there for everybody to see."

The graffiti is understood to have been reported to Police Scotland.

In a defiant message to whoever is behind the graffiti, he added: "Get a grip of yourself, stop living in the dark ages and join us in 2024."

A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman said: “Our graffiti removal team will remove this appalling vandalism as a priority.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of offensive graffiti on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow, on Monday, 28 October, 2024.

“Enquiries are at an early stage.

“Officers are carrying out patrols in the area and anyone with information or concerns should speak to officers or contact police via 101 quoting incident number 0907 of 28 October.”
