Horror crash leaves biker with 'significant injuries' as police issue appeal

Police have launched an appeal for dashcam, CCTV and mobile phone footage after a horror crash left a motorbike rider in hospital with "really significant injuries".

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Devonshire Road and Galway Avenue in Blackpool shortly after 10.30am on Saturday (June 1). Lancashire Constabulary said it involved a Hyundai i20 car and a Honda CB600 motorcycle.

The biker, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital while the car driver was unhurt. The road was closed for several hours between the junctions of Kylemore Avenue and Munster Avenue and police have now launched an appeal.

Sgt Stuart Hart, of the Road Policing Unit, said: "This collision has left a man with some really significant injuries and I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident itself or who has any dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage to get in touch."
