Horror influencer who married a spirit says 'Santa Claus is a ghost'

A horror influencer who once married a spirit has claimed that Father Christmas is a ghost.

Spooky rock singer Brocarde says she famously wed then split from the spirit of a Victorian solider, and she is now a paranormal investigator. The gothic singer says she believes Santa is a likely to be a ghost who has 'shape-shifted' into a red suit on Christmas Eve.

Brocarde says her 'ex' Edwardo 'came alive' at Christmas and would dress up as Santa Claus, and he even floated down the chimney. She reckons other spirits might also do the same. She claims they are prone to getting into the festive spirit and attracted to the magic of Christmas.

Brocarde, from Oxford, says when people think they see Santa they might be looking at a cheeky ghost. She says if people encounter the vision of Father Christmas coming down the chimney it could actually be the apparition of a ghost getting into the festive spirit.

She said: “Fundamentally, ghosts and Father Christmas have a lot in common, most people don’t believe they exist. It’s important to understand that ghosts can often sense the energy of the holidays, and some get as excited as we do!

'If you consider that some ghosts don’t even realize that they are dead, they sometimes start to celebrate the holidays as they did when they were living.

“Many people believe that ghosts have the ability to shape-shift into various different disguises, this can often have terrifying implications and be very confusing.

''During the holidays, when emotions are high, spirits are attracted to these emotions and some can present themselves as Father Christmas.”

She added: “When some people are adamant that they’ve seen Santa Claus what they could have actually encountered is a shape-shifting ghost. 'I understand that Father Christmas is largely accepted as being fictional, but in spirit from he can be more real than any of us could imagine.

“During my Christmas with Edwardo, he came 'alive' at the holidays, it was very clear that his energy was lighter, and he was in the Christmas spirit, it’s true that ghosts moods can lift just like humans.

''On Christmas Eve he shape-shifted and floated down the Chimney, he must’ve remembered the Christmas tradition from when he was living!''
