Horsforth crash: Woman fighting for her life as Rawdon Road remains shut both ways
A woman is fighting for her life following a two-car crash in Horsforth today.
West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the serious crash which has seen Rawdon Road in the Leeds town shut in both directions. An 82-year-old woman is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.
The crash happened just before 2pm today and involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a red Audi S3. The elderly woman was driving the Fiesta. The driver of the Audi did not suffer any injuries.

Now, police are appealing for witnesses to the serious crash. A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers were called at 13.59 (17 October) by the ambulance service to reports two vehicles had been in collision.

"The driver of the blue Ford Fiesta, an 82 year old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is described as critical. The driver of the other vehicle a red Audi S3 was not injured."
The road remains closed while enquiries are carried out. As of 5.30pm, traffic management system Inrix reports: "A65 Leeds Road in both directions closed, heavy traffic due to accident from A6120 Broadway ( Horsforth roundabout, Horsforth ) to Layton Lane (Rawdon)."
