The great and good of the British music industry will be honoured at the BRIT Awards tonight.

A tour de force of talent will descend on London’s O2 Arena for the annual bash which will see artists battle it out for the coveted gongs.

Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis have teamed up to host the star-studded ceremony after Ant and Dec stepped down from the role last year.

O’Leary and Willis were late replacements after first choice host Michael Bublé was forced to pull out.

The swing singer, 41, stepped down after his three-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with cancer.

Willis – who is currently presenting The Voice UK – said she would have “relished” watching Bublé present, and said she hopes to ‘do him proud’.

“Every part of me sends so much love and all the best wishes in the world to Michael and his family at such a difficult time,” she said.

“I’m a huge fan of his and I would have relished watching him present the Brits. I know everyone involved wants to make the best show possible and I hope we do him proud.”

O’Leary added: “Michael is an effortless showman, so those patent shoes will not be easy to fill.

“But it’s an honour to be asked to step in with Emma to host the Brits.”

David Bowie has been posthumously nominated in two categories while Little Mix will face off against Radiohead, The 1975, Bastille, and Biffy Clyro for Best British Group.

Coldplay, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Emeli Sande and The 1975 will perform as well as

Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran who will perform new tracks.

The BRIT Awards are on ITV tonight at 7:30pm.
