Here is our original story: A hot air balloon was forced to abandon its journey and crash-landed on a playing field in Kingswood. According to an eyewitness, it narrowly missed houses as it lost altitude.

The incident took place last night, May 24, at around 8pm on Lees Hill playing field. A video taken at the scene shows the hot air balloon at the edge of the playing field very close to a hedge.

It hasn't been confirmed how many people were travelling in the balloon or if any injuries were sustained. Nor is it known why the balloon had to make a sudden emergency landing.
