Hot Football Transfer Gossip: AC Milan ‘target Depay and Oscar’, Man Utd linked with Yarmolenko

Got an expensive footballer you don’t want anymore? AC Milan could be about to solve all your problems.

The newly loaded Italians seem to have become the go-to team for English clubs trying to sell off their overpriced flops. Having already been linked with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Eliaquim Mangala, the Express reports that the next outcast on the Rossoneri’s radar is Memphis Depay.

The club’s incoming Chinese owners are apparently “willing to broker a big-money deal to prise away” the Manchester United winger from Old Trafford in January. Hot Football Transfer Gossip doesn’t think much prising will need to be involved actually. Milan are more likely to receive the Dutchman gift-wrapped with free delivery.

It’s unclear whether the Italian giants are genuinely interested in buying all these players or if the tabloids are just choosing them because they’ve got lots of money.

It’s also unclear when they’ll actually be able to start spending this wonga. The Express says the first instalment from the Chinese takeover “should be in place in January”.

Another player who could leave the Premier League in January is Chelsea playmaker Oscar, who Talksport claims could be on his way to - you’ve guessed it - Milan. The Brazilian is apparently “top of the Italian club’s shortlist” and the Blues would “be willing to sell at the right price” - that price being £34m.

To be fair, Milan did sign Mario Balotelli a couple of times so anything’s possible.

The presence of Ukrainian agent Vadim Shablii at Man Utd’s Europa League match against Zorya Luhansk on Thursday has prompted the Sun to speculate that the Red Devils could be about to swoop for Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko - who still plays for Dynamo Kiev being continuously linked with Premier League clubs (well, Everton) for about two years.

This would, in fact, indicate that Shablii hasn’t been doing his job very well. But, having convinced Jose Mourinho and Bobby Charlton to pose for a couple of photos on Thursday and then plonk them on Instagram, the Sun now seems confident that the agent is about to pull off the deal of his life.

The Red Devils are also being tipped, along with Southampton, to make a move for the Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayako (Calcio Mercato). If he’s half as good as his former Everton namesake Ibrahima Bakayako, then the Red Devils/Saints are in trouble.

Elsewhere, West Brom want Saido Berahino to sign a long-term deal at the Hawthorns (Mirror), Sean Dyche has insisted that Burnley defender Michael Keane is not for sale (Lancashire Telegraph) and Arsenal are being linked once again with Atalanta’s 19-year-old midfielder Franck Kessie - described as “the new Yaya Toure” (Goal). Hopefully he doesn’t have the same agent.
