'Hot Fuzz' antics as goose runs rings around Yorkshire police officers on major road
A wild goose running rings around a pair of police officers on a major Yorkshire road has been going viral on social media.
The chase has been compared to a scene reminiscent of Hot Fuzz or Benny Hill-style antics and happened on the Bingley Bypass in Bradford, at about 3pm on Saturday, January 25. The two West Yorkshire Police officers had parked their vehicle and stopped oncoming traffic, while attempting to capture and wrap the wild bird in a blanket.
It was filmed by Leeds resident Jasmine Hanson who was in for a surprise on her journey across the bypass. Jasmine said: "We presumed there must have been a crash when the traffic slowed and the police car went past but were highly amused to find a Hot Fuzz style bird chase instead. It made our day."

Jasmine posted the footage [above] on public Facebook group 'This is Keighley' where it has almost 300 reactions. Group members were quick to respond with witty remarks to the post entitled 'Duck duck goose on the bypass'.
Many made reference to a sequence on 2007 comedy Hot Fuzz where the police officers, played by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, chase a swan through their West Country village.
Making direct reference to the movie's dialogue, Sean Feather-Rowley quipped: "Its just the one swan, actually."
Kenny Foster added: "Some nifty footwork there from the Swan. Do any local teams need a midfielder?"
James Stuart Nurse said: "Just one more thing the police can't catch." Andy Williams said: "Soon to be a jailbird."
