New hot yoga studio opens in city - how you can get free classes
A new yoga studio is coming to the city - promising "an experience like no other".
The venue, which will open in Turner Place, off Portland Road, Hove, is part of the HotPod Yoga chain.
HotPod Yoga is an international chain with 44 locations in the UK, including studios in Eastbourne and Worthing.
The brand runs hot yoga sessions inside a pod which has glowing lighting, music and aromatherapy to help you relax.
The pod is heated to 37C, which HotPod says is a "comfortable heat" to complete the session.
HotPod say some people leave a class feeling energised and ready to start the day, while others leave feeling calm and relaxed.
The Hove studio was founded by Gary Vaughan, a dad who lives in Hove.
Gary grew up in the north of England but settled in Brighton in 2019.
He lives with his three-year-old daughter in Hove and said he has "fallen in love" with the "quirky" city.
Gary first tried HotPod Yoga in Worthing.
He said: “I had tried a type of hot yoga before, but I was getting tired of never feeling good enough in class and never actually having a friendly face greet me and form a real connection.
"HotPod had such a different approach and I have always felt like I could be myself, not worry about how I look or perform in class, and with it, I continue to have a healthier body that moves with more flexibility and freedom.”
Gary will be hosting a series of complimentary taster classes during the launch weekend April 22 and 23.
After the free classes there will be an introductory offer of two weeks of unlimited classes for £20.
There will then be a range options to suit customers' needs, including a single class for £16, a five-class pass for £70 and unlimited yoga for £110 a month.
Gary said he is keen to welcome people to the studio.
“I hope to create a Hotpod world whereby everyone in Brighton and Hove can step away from their normal routines and enjoy some time for themselves," he said.
"To nourish, to heal and to create the space to hold the world outside a little calmer. Your health and happiness is everything, and I want to help with both."
