Hounslow crash: Moped rider seriously injured in hospital after crash with Land Rover at busy junction

A young moped rider is seriously injured in hospital after a crash with a Land Rover at a busy west London junction.

The man, aged in his early 20s, was involved in a collision with a stationary Land Rover in Hounslow on Friday night.

Police and paramedics were called to the crash on Great West Road at the junction with Sutton Lane at about 9.20pm.

London’s Air Ambulance was also scrambled to the scene.

Scotland Yard said the moped rider was taken to a central London hospital where he remained in a stable condition on Saturday morning.

His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash and would like to speak to other moped rider who were seen in the area at the time.
