Hour-by-hour weather forecast as heavy rain set to batter Nottinghamshire

Heavy rain is set to batter Nottinghamshire for much of the day amid several Government flood alerts across the county. The Met Office says there is more than a 50% chance of rain from 2pm onwards on Sunday (September 22).

The initially light rain is set to turn heavy by 7pm, ahead of an even more unsettled day on Monday. Overnight storms were seen in many areas after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunder in the county.

Northern parts of the county were less affected by the overnight thunder, but the whole of the county is covered by a Met Office warning for heavy rain that lasts throughout Sunday. Below is an hour-by-hour forecast for Nottingham from the Met Office.
